Decrease in agribusiness sales during COVID-19 in Ghana 2020-2021, by region
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, between May 2020 and January 2021, most agribusinesses in the Ashanti and Western regions of Ghana recorded the highest decreases in sales, corresponding to 67.6 percent and 67.4 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the Savannah and North East regions achieved the lowest decreases, with only 21.1 percent and 25 percent of the firms, respectively, recording a decline in sales. Overall, over the said period, around 77.3 thousand agribusinesses in Ghana reported decreases in sales.
