Overseas to total e-commerce sales ratio of businesses in Japan 2020
According to a survey conducted in 2020 in Japan, over 48 percent of businesses engaged in overseas e-commerce stated that online distribution in foreign markets accounted for less than one percent of total e-commerce sales. Even though the Japanese e-commerce market grew continuously in the last decade, cross-border sales take up a secondary position among domestic online sellers.
