During a 2021 survey in the United Kingdom (UK), athletics was the most followed Summer Olympic sport for UK fans, with 45 percent of global respondents interested in the sport living in the UK. Swimming was the next most popular Olympic sport in the UK with 32 percent of global respondents, while diving and both artistic and rhythmic gymnastics were each also followed by more than 20 percent of global respondents in the UK.
