Share of people neglecting social distancing on dates Japan 2020, by gender and age
According to a survey among single men and women in Japan, over 20 percent of male respondents in the 30 to 34 years age group stated to have disregarded social distancing while out on physical dates since April 2020, when a nationwide state of emergency was declared due to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In the 20 to 24 years age group, women were less mindful of social distancing on dates than men, with 14 percent of female respondents stating they did not maintain physical distance while dating.
