Victims of childhood sexual violence in France 2019, by type of assault
When looking at the proportion of people declaring to have been victims of incest in France between 2009 and 2020, it appears that the share of reported victims increased from three to ten percent over the study period. Regarding the gender of the people who faced this situation, it appears that the majority were female. In addition, it was found that 89 percent of victims of sexual violence as minors had been sexually assaulted (e.g., touched) and 22 percent had been raped.
