When looking at the proportion of people who declared to have been victims of incest in France between 2009 and 2023, it appears that the share of reported victims increased from three to eleven percent over the study period. Regarding the gender of the people who faced this situation, it appears that the majority were female. Meanwhile, in 77 percent of the cases, the aggressor was a male relative (father, brother, cousin...)
