Transaction value of cryptocurrency Philippines 2019-2020

The value of cryptocurrency transactions in the Philippines surged between January to September 2020 compared to the same period of the previous year. From nearly 15 billion Philippine pesos in 2019, the value of cryptocurrency in the country reached 76 billion Philippine pesos, reflecting a 410 percent increase. This was caused by the rise of Bitcoin prices and the expansion of regulations on financial services in the country.
