Rural population with access to electricity in Morocco 2001-2019
As of 2019, 13.35 million people in the rural areas of Morocco had access to electricity. The number of inhabitants of Moroccan rural communities who were able to access electricity increased steadily from 6.2 million in 2001, save the slight declines in 2015 and 2019. Overall, in 2019, 40.1 terawatt-hours of electrical power were generated in the North African country.
