A larger percentage of men than that of women are against abortion in Brazil. In a survey carried out on May 2022, only 24 percent of the women interviewed said they were in favor of abortion, the same percent for the male respondents. The age group with the highest share of people favorable to this practice was the ones aged 60 years and older, as 31 percent of respondents in this age range agreed with abortion.
