Polymer demand forecast worldwide by region 2020

Between 2001 and 2020, the cumulative demand for the five major polymers in the developed world was 579 million metric tons. In comparison, demand in the developing world was 1.4 billion metric tons. Forecasts show that between 2021 and 2040, the demand for the five major polymers in the developing world is expected to total approximately 3.3 billion metric tons.
