Largest Italian banks 2021, by risk-weighted assets

As of 2021, Intesa Sanpaolo was the Italian bank with the largest value of risk-weighted assets (RWAs) among the ten largest banks in Italy. Intesa's RWAs amounted to almost 323 billion euros in 2021. Unicredit S.p.A. followed, with risk weighted assets amounting to roughly 322 billion euros.
