As per the results of a large scale survey conducted across India in 2020, about 36 percent of the respondents with high or low blood pressure stated that they consumed three or more alcoholic drinks per day. There was a rising trend in lifestyle diseases like diabetes, thyroid and blood pressure across the country when compared to the previous years of the survey.
