TV service viewer distribution in the U.S. 2021, by type
As of June 2021, 41 percent of U.S. consumers to a survey stated that they prefer to have a TV service which is free to watch, including ads in every show. By contrast, one third of respondents said they would choose an ad-free paid service watching TV without ads. Around one in four of the population claimed to prefer a TV service which offers both paid and ad-supported options.
