African fintech startups funding 2015-2022

Fintech startups in Africa attracted over 1.4 billion U.S. dollars in investment as of 2022. The amount strongly increased compared to the previous years and reached the highest level since 2015. Also, the VC value raised by fintech startups corresponded to around 43 percent of the total funding to African tech startups in 2022.
