In an online survey conducted in April 2021, around 45 percent of respondents in the United States between the ages of 18 and 29 said that they strongly favor an increase in the federal minimum wage to 15 U.S. dollars an hour. In comparison, around 27 percent of survey participants from the 65 and over age range said that they were strongly opposed to a minimum wage increase.
