As of the year 2022, the All India Radio news service division broadcasted 5,468 district news letters annually making it the most widely distributed category of news-based programs in India. All India Radio is India's national public radio broadcaster with a monopoly on news broadcasting. It is a subsidiary of Prasar Bharati, India's largest broadcasting network.
