Africa: company-requested services from financial institutions 2020

Based on an online survey carried out between June and July 2020, 56 percent of the African businesses that took part in the study requested working capital from financial institutions during the coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, some 19 percent contacted the financial institutions for asset financing, while 12 percent did due to debt recovery delays. Only 11 percent approached financial institutions for support of new products.
