The volume of cruise passengers sourced from North America rebounded in 2022, after falling dramatically with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Despite the sharp annual increase, the number of North American cruise guests remained below pre-pandemic levels, reaching nearly 12.6 million in 2022. That year, North America was the leading source market in the global cruise industry.
