Status of businesses operating in the tourism industry in New Zealand 2021
According to a survey of New Zealand tourism industry owners and operators in April 2021, approximately 46 percent of respondents reported that they had sharply reduced their business size but were continuing to operate. Roughly 32 percent of respondents stated that their businesses were operating pretty much as is. At the time of the survey, international arrivals of tourists were banned in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
