Needed share of pre-COVID turnover for tourism industry viability in New Zealand 2021

According to a survey of New Zealand tourism industry owners and operators in April 2021, approximately 34 percent of respondents reported that they needed to earn at least 50 percent of pre-COVID turnover in order to remain viable. The survey results suggest that a majority of businesses could continue to operate with levels of turnover significantly lower that what they saw before the COVID-19 pandemic.
