Morocco: artisans revenue growth rate 2020

In a survey conducted among 1,010 artisans during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Morocco, it was revealed that the revenue obtained by the artisans dropped by 95 percent during the lockdown period. Moreover, in the three months following the period of lockdown, the revenue growth rate stood at minus 45 percent. The artisans' revenue fell further by 64 percent six months after the national lockdown. Overall in Morocco, close to 1.4 million people were employed in the crafts industry as of 2018.
