According to a survey of New Zealand tourism industry owners and operators in April 2021, 64 percent of respondents stated that they were confident that they could meet staffing needs when international travelers were again allowed to enter the country. At the time of the survey, international arrivals of tourists were banned in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
