Gender wage gap Indonesia 2022, by urbanization level
As of August 2022, the gender wage gap in Indonesian rural areas was around 29.35 percent. This indicates that the average wage for male workers in rural areas was 29.35 percent higher than for female workers. Compared to the previous year, the gender wage gap in urban and rural areas had increased by about 2.08 and 3.06 percent, respectively.
