Winners share of votes in the French regional elections second round 2021, by region

While there were some heated debates before the 2021 regional elections, the political map of the regions remained the same, and all incumbents were re-elected, perpetuating the traditional left-right divide. La République en Marche and Rassemblement National seemingly failed to make a place for themselves on the regional political scene, and have not come out on top in any region. While the lack of regional implementation of these two parties may provide an explanation, these results could also illustrate the desire of voters to avoid a Macron/Le Pen confrontation in future elections.
