Japan: preferences over cinema or streaming by genre 2021

According to a survey conducted by GEM Partners in June 2021, almost two thirds of respondents in Japan preferred to watch Western action movies at theaters even if the movie was shown for the same price and at the time as the online streaming version. A similarly high share was observed in the case of Japanese action movies.
