IT security policy areas covered for businesses worldwide 2021
In 2021, 60 percent of respondents stated that email was covered by their IT security policy. Notably, around half of respondents stated that home office was covered by their security policy. This is noteworthy as many organizations around the world had to send employees home in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, many employees continued working from different locations, which added complexity to secure IT adequately.
