Subscriber coverage of carriers partnering with OTT providers Thailand 2019, by type
According to a survey conducted on telco and OTT partnerships at the end of 2019, the mobile subscribers accounted for 44 percent of subscriber coverage of telco carriers that partnered with OTT video providers. Meanwhile, the fixed broadband subscribers only accounted for nine percent of such coverage. The benefits of telecommunication companies and OTT services partnering are, for instance, the ability to break into new markets and better distribution for OTT players, and increasing ARPU and user retention for carriers.
