Attitude towards homosexuality by religion in Nicaragua 2020

A survey conducted in Nicaragua in 2020 showed that more than 60 percent of religious believers think that homosexuality is not a valid sexual orientation. The highest share of disagreement came from Protestants, with nearly 75 percent of respondents. Among those believers that stated homosexuality is a valid sexual orientation, the highest share came from Catholics, with 26.7 percent. When asked about abortion, most of Nicaraguan believers stated that abortion should only be allowed in appropriate circumstances.
