China: main reasons for buying homes for getting married 2021

According to a survey on home purchasing behavior in China conducted in January 2021, around 75 percent of respondents thought buying homes for getting married would increase their sense of belonging and security. Similarly, to improve quality of life, to renovate as needed and to own property rights were other popular reasons among potential home purchasers in China.

Income: about 92.8 percent earned less than 20,000 yuan per month after tax, of which 44.1 percent accounted for between 5,000 and 10,000 yuan (one yuan equals approximately 0.15 U.S. dollars and 0.13 euros as of August 2021).
