Global renewable water resources dependency ratio 2020, by main country
Kuwait has the highest renewable water resource dependency ratio worldwide according to the latest data available. As of 2020, Kuwait received 100 percent of its renewable water from upstream countries due to having no permanent lakes or rivers. Egypt followed in second, with 98 percent of its renewable water resources originating outside the country.
