Countries with lowest access to handwashing facilities worldwide 2020

Millions of people around the world live in households with handwashing facilities that lack soap and/or water. However, there are many that have no handwashing facilities at all. In 2020, more than 50 percent of the populations of 11 countries had no handwashing facilities, such as Rwanda, where the share was a staggering 86 percent. In terms of regional populations, 34 percent of Sub-Saharan Africa had no handwashing facilities.
