Nickel consumption for electric vehicles 2018 & 2025
The total amount of nickel used by electric vehicles in the world is forecast to grow by more than 800 percent from 70,000 metric tones in 2018 to approximately 600,000 metric tones by 2025. This can be mainly attributed to the growing demand for electric vehicles within the next decade, as nickel is an important component in the batteries for electric vehicles.
