Population at risk of poverty in Spain 2021, by region
The geographic distribution of population at risk of poverty in Spain shows a gulf between North and South. Except for Galicia and Asturias, all Northern regions fall bellow the national average of 21 percent. On the other hand, Andalusia, Extremadura, and the autonomous cities of Melilla and Ceuta, topped the list with more than 30 percent of their population being at risk of poverty.
