Risk of poverty and exclusion by education Spain 2022

In 2022, the percentage of Spaniards at risk of poverty or social exclusion was significantly higher among those with lower levels of education. More than 31 percent of Spaniards whose educational attainment was limited to the first stage of secondary or primary education (or lower) were at such risk. In contrast, approximately 15 percent of the population with higher education were at risk of poverty or social exclusion.

- At risk of poverty (60% of the median income per consumption unit).
- With severe material deprivation (with deprivation in at least 7 concepts from a list of 13).
- In households without employment, or with low employment intensity (households in which the members of working age did so for less than 20% of their work potential during the reference year)."
