According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2024 in the Philippines, 56 percent of respondents said they subscribed to a video-on-demand service because it offered a larger variety of content in comparison to cable and satellite TV. In addition, 55 percent of respondents said they wanted to enjoy watching a video content without advertisements.
