Share of female firm ownership MENA 2020, by legal status
In 2020, about 86 percent of firms owned by females in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region were sole proprietorship firms. About 2.6 percent of firms in the region were fully owned by women. Countries in conflict and in transition had smaller employment growth than the rest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
