On May 19, 2021, the daily trading volume of cryptocurrencies on South Korean crypto exchanges amounted to approximately 23.7 trillion South Korean won, surpassing the value of stocks traded on the South Korean stock market. Cryptocurrencies have become very popular investments among South Koreans. Young people in particular have been investing heavily in cryptocurrencies recently.
