Approval rate of asylum applications in Mexico 2013-2020, by country of origin
Between 2013 and 2020, the refugee population from Venezuela had the highest asylum application approval rate in Mexico, with 98.1 percent. The asylum seekers from Honduras was the second refugee group with the highest acceptance rate, with more than 50% of approved applications by the Mexican Commission for Refugee Assistance. Between January and March of 2020, the largest number of asylum seekers in Mexico originated from Honduras.
