In 2019, international infant formula brands accounted for around 51 percent of China's total infant formula market, slightly higher than the domestic brands with 49 percent. When it comes to childcare products, Chinese parents tend to see foreign brands as more trustworthy. However, the Chinese government is trying to decrease the national reliance on imported baby formula. Therefore domestic brands' presence in the market is likely to grow in the next few years.
