Share of children (14-17 years) attending education South Africa 2014-2018
In 2018, the share of children between the ages of 14 and 17 years attending educational institutions in South Africa was at 82.7 percent. As of the same year, 12.8 percent of the individuals in the age group were attending other educational institutions. Moreover, some 4.5 percent of the children in this age group were out of school. Overall, the share out of school was highest in 2016 at 6.4 percent.
