Leading electronics e-commerce sites Philippines Q1 2022, by monthly web visits

As of the first quarter of 2022, the e-commerce site Kimstore was the most popular B2C site for electronic products in the Philippines in terms of the number of web visits. During this period, Kimstore had roughly 62 thousand monthly web visitors.

 Demand for electronic products 

As a country with one of the highest internet usage, the demand for sophisticated communication gadgets has seen growth in the Philippines. Among the popular segments for consumer electronic products were telephony and computing devices, although drones were forecast to generate the highest revenue growth in 2021. Overall, the consumer electronics market was forecast to generate revenues of around 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2025.

 Impact of COVID-19 on online shopping 

The trend towards online shopping among Filipino consumers was boosted by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Preference towards online purchases was not only observed for popular e-commerce categories such as fashion and personal products, but also electronic products such as mobile phones and tablets. In fact, in 2020, a recent survey revealed that 52 percent of Filipinos shopped online for the first time during the pandemic, compared to 48 percent of non-first-time online shoppers.
