Number of members in the House of Representatives Japan 1996-2024, by gender
As of February 2024, the Japanese House of Representatives had 465 members, of which around 10 percent were female. The House of Representatives is the lower house of the Japanese parliament, its members being newly elected in general elections every four years unless the cabinet dissolves the house earlier.
