In September 2022, the Uber Eats app was downloaded roughly 300 thousand times in Japan. In April 2020, the Uber Eats app was downloaded about 1.63 million times in Japan, setting a record number of downloads during the surveyed period for the app. This coincided with lockdown measures taken in Japan due to the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic.
