As of 2021, investors worldwide seemed more willing to save money or invest in low-risk assets than to invest in high-risk asset investments after the lifting of the coronavirus lockdown. Risk tolerance varied between investment knowledge levels, though: Whereas around half of investors with expert or advanced knowledge were willing to invest in high-risk assets, the share among beginners was only 24 percent. However, it should be noted that among the latter knowledge level group the overall willingness to save or invest was much lower in general.
