Intention to consume paid digital comics South Korea 2020
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2020 among users of digital comics, roughly 33.1 percent of respondents stated that they did not have the intention to consume digital comics as paid content in the future. At the same time 31.5 percent of respondents answered that they had the intention to consume paid content.
Not consuming paid content does not mean that users had the intention of not using digital comics at all or consuming them illegally as there are multiple services, especially webtoon services, that offer content for free.
