Breakdown of households electricity consumption in France 2020, by activity
The residential sector accounted for nearly 40 percent of final electricity consumption in France in 2020. In fact, heating systems accounted for almost 30 percent of the consumption, while the use of refrigeration and washing electrical devices immediately followed with 19 percent. Ventilation and air conditioning instead, accounted only for two percent of the total consumption.
