Morocco: floor area of authorized building sites

In 2019, the total floor area of buildings authorized to be constructed in Morocco reached nearly 20 million square meters. This comprised the built area (ground floor) and surfaces of all floors in every permitted building construction. In the preceding year, an authorized floor area of around 17.4 million square meters was registered in the country. Comparatively, built areas alone covered 7.15 million square meters of the authorized area in 2019.
