Islamic fund asset share globally 2021, by asset class
The two asset classes most commonly held by Islamic funds in 2021 were money market assets and equities, which accounted for around 39.5 percent and 28.4 percent of total assets respectively. In total, Islamic funds held assets of almost 154.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2021.
