Fuel stacking in households in India 2020, by region
India Residential Energy Survey 2020 collected detailed data about the use of different types of fuels for cooking in India. Among 14,850 households surveyed, around 47 percent used exclusively clean fuel. There was a considerable difference in clean fuel usage in rural and urban India. More than 90 percent of households in urban area exclusively use clean fuel while in the rural area this number was down to 28 percent.
