Number of building authorizations issued in Morocco 2010-2019
In 2019, 47 thousand building authorizations were issued by urban municipalities in Morocco. This was close to the number of permits given in the preceding year, but a visible decrease compared to the total authorizations between 2010 and 2013. Within that period, the count of building construction permits granted was above 53 thousand in each year. Overall, the total floor area of authorized building constructions in Morocco reached close to 20 million square meters in 2019.
